batteries for Toyota Prius cars? About $6,000
Are they easily accessible? If yes, do you know if battery theft is a problem for Prius owners? WARNING: Anyone entering my automobile, with the intention of stealing my battery, must be wearing a CDC-compliant mask. Nonconformance is punishable by law. There are exceptions however, the main one being sub-human blanks sporting BLM neck tattoos. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: One of the biggest problems with the idea of electric vehicles is the additions to demand for electric power. Solar and wind are just too intermittent. California blackouts are just the first example of insufficient supply. And California has put heavy reliance on nearby states, with fossil capability to carry thru, to help cover their dips in local production. Imaging these "painful" scenarios -- Gee can't make it to work today as there wasn't enough power to charge my vehicle. Gee the hospital lost its power so people died. Gee the needed meds didn't get here in time as the delivery trucks were delayed. Gee the power has become so expensive that some retirees on fixed income are getting to be poverty cases. California is leading the nation in power costs. And that pattern is repeated in foreign countries placing increasing reliance on wind & solar. Have you heard about the prices of batteries for Toyota Prius cars? About $6,000 (including installation) for new, and about $4,000 for rebuilt, for my Long Island relatives, a couple yrs ago. And the Prius is just a small vehicle. |
