I wouldn't give huge wind turbine blades 10 years in the ocean; five years, with those bi-monthly Nor'easters and a couple of back-to-back hurricane seasons.
I wouldn't dispute those possibilities. And flaws developing on 1 blade, out of their 3, takes a unit out of service. Did you follow the earlier postings about Ocean City getting some wind turbines? They're huge. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: wind & solar [about 20 years.] Have you seen photos of the huge wind turbine blades winding up in landfills... I'm strictly guessing: I wouldn't give huge wind turbine blades 10 years in the ocean; five years, with those bi-monthly Nor'easters and a couple of back-to-back hurricane seasons. The flotsam hazard to shipping lanes is real. |
