Nope They are under the rear seats or under the floor in the trunk in various Prius models. Also, Special high voltage means that professionals must handle that replacement. And our Chevy Traverse has battery underneath the front passenger seat (non hybrid). Its a conventional, reasonable cost to replace -- about $150 (vs $4,000 to $6,000.) Tom |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: batteries for Toyota Prius cars? About $6,000 Are they easily accessible?
