For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I have no argument with that--it happens a lot. I think one side tends to view their sources as sounding like they are making perfect sense, while the other side's sources sound as if they don't have two brain cells to rub together. And this tends to be true which ever side one comes down on, regardless of the topic. Makes for some rather pointless arguments, I guess. Too bad we all can't just debate topics without falling back on fallible news, etc., sources, and instead simply try to convince others about why we think one position makes more sense than another. Perhaps we've built too much of a wall and are not willing to listen to each other anymore? And not just this forum, but opposing political sides everywhere? |
