I have no argument with that--it happens a lot. I think one side tends to view their sources as sounding like they are making perfect sense, while the other side's sources sound as if they don't have two brain cells to rub together. And this tends to be true which ever side one comes down on, regardless of the topic. Makes for some rather pointless arguments, I guess.
Too bad we all can't just debate topics without falling back on fallible news, etc., sources, and instead simply try to convince others about why we think one position makes more sense than another. Perhaps we've built too much of a wall and are not willing to listen to each other anymore? And not just this forum, but opposing political sides everywhere? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I think our goal should, however, be trying to find the least biased sources, and to not push the obviously biased sources as if they were completely unbiased. The problem is people tend to support and push the sources that support their own biases and never question those sources while ALWAYS questioning sources from the other side. That can be seen here constantly and on most sites. |
