Actually, all kidding aside, it is very difficult to find published sources these days that don't lean one way or the other politically, that are not at least somewhat biased. "News" sources especially, but even sources that in decades past were essentially unassailable--scientific research, for example, now more often than not have a political bent. This makes it difficult for an individual to be sure of THE FACTS in any situation. Thus we have opinions, and argue opinions. We wish it weren't the case, and we continue to seek out actual facts, but there will almost always be some bias in the sources we use. I think our goal should, however, be trying to find the least biased sources, and to not push the obviously biased sources as if they were completely unbiased. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Are you including yourself as a forum member....? Certainly. Very seldom does anyone post messages with FACTS from the source of the facts. Even sources of FACTS must be questioned. Questioning FACTS is what good journalists do. All these, links to internet sites dedicated to bias in one direction or the other do not reprsent FACTS in any way shape or form. Dave Walter has one reply to any liberal - you are lying. |
