Section 5: States Subject: Blue states plan anti-Trump fights Msg# 1215032

Thinking about all those states "thwarting" Trump... Good luck, blueies. I'd like to see Trump reduce federal subsidies to those states equal in amount to each state's financial thwartations...
This does bring up an issue concerning our new post-election "live happily together" attitude. We have all seen the landslide consequence of Biden's idiotic cancellation of all Trump's border safeguards, canceling all of them for no other reason than because they were put in place by President Trump - without even considering whether they were working or not. To prevent President Trump's administration from looking that stupid, I think he will have to look a bit more carefully at the Dem's policies that are in place or on their immediate agenda instead of just cancelling them because they are only probably straight party line stupid. I suggest we start with careful consideration of the Dems' burning desire to add six justices to the Supreme Court... That might be one we should help them with... |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Now with Trump laying plans to forge ahead, several blue states are making anti-trump plans. Among these are California's governor Newsome as well as New York, Massachusetts, Maryland, etc. New York is an interesting example, with mayor Adams of NY City taking steps like big cuts in the bucks $$$ being paid to immigrants, and also discontinuing their free housing in hotels. Such steps may produce some self-deportations. In effect, Adams is supporting Trump's deportation ideas, while many blue state governors would be fighting the Trump deportation policy. And deportation is just one of Trump's policies that blue states are planning to increase their funding of legal costs as a large part of their anti-Trump efforts. Headlines: Politico -- How blue states are plotting to thwart Trump Click Here Fox News --Blue state governor summons legislature in response to Trump win: 'Ready to fight' Click Here NBC --Democratic governors vow to protect their states from Trump and his policies Click Here Sac.Bee --Trump’s star rises as California shifts to political center. ‘Even progressives have limits’ Click Here Other Trump policies which could be resisted by the blue states are improvements in law & order, LGBTQ, firearms, power plant regulations, EV requirements, where the two sides hold contrary views. Progress was seen in the current election when California voters passed Prop 36 and ousted two soft on crime District Attorneys. Thus showing there's openings for changes. But of course Trump seems always ready to fight for his policies. And can win his share of decisions Correcting the immigration crisis may be the most popular of issues to be fought. Stay tuned. Gonna be interesting now & into the next 4 years. Wondering, what are some favorite issues of folks reading this forum -- Blue vs Trump administration?? |
