Would you consider going back to the 1-2-3-4 type message numbering at the top of the message board where you could type in the number of the message you wanted to read?  That instead of the new system where you have to click on the numbers showing, which when the board is full are are separated by "..." requiring one to click a bunch of times until they get to where they can actually see the actual message number they want at the top of the page?
