We have been very lucky and the rain has been slow almost misty at times. So it's not been bad at all. I think they are expecting another storm next week. But the cooler temps are nice.
We noticed that you called my cell phone this moring. I've had some garbled calls since the storm. Some parts of town near the towers are getting heavier rain and that plays with the signal sometimes. I fixed use a huge pot of chili for lunch and it was so good. That will be our dinner too. I may bake some potatoes and make chili baked pototoes. Kyra |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Oh I know what you mean, where has the year gone for sure! Good to hear that all you got is some rain. You and Jennifer (the daughter of my friend Nan who passed away) have been fortunate with being where you live. My friend Suzanne lives in Jonesborough and she left before the storm really got there and went to Nashville to be with her daughter. She doesn’t know what awaits her IF she can even get back home. Damon cousin lives outside of Atlanta and she is withou electricity, water or sewer. She said they might take next week to get her power restored. Hope Ryan and all those out doing repairs stay healthy and safe as they attack a massive job get repairs done. I have seen pictures of the total devastation and those areas will never be the same. I’m hoping that this craft fair will be a good one for sales. I did work on the resin ornaments adding bow. I did touch up some of the gold paint on some that had gotten scratched in transit. All good now ?? Thanks again for sending them to me. That’s good news about Jackie. Hope she continues to get stronger and will be able to get back to work soon. Well just finished dinner, time to get the kitchen cleaned up and trash out for tomorrow. I will let you know how I do next weekend after the craft fair. Temperature will be probably around 91 so I’ll be taking lots of cold water in my ice chest. Just hope the heat doesn’t scare away too many people. Hugs and stay safe! Colleen P.S. I tried calling your home phone and someone answered but connection was not good. |
