The first week after the surgery I looked very bad. By the end of the second week there was no more brusing but I still had stitches. Where he pulled up on some muscles on the outside of my eyes and it's still a little tender there. I had my cataracts removed back in 2005. There is no brusing with that. I didn't have to wait until the cataracts got ripe before they could remove them. They were not the usual cataracts. I went Monday the get a crown and while he was drilling the drill caught and slipped into my tongue and cheek. I ended up the 2 stitches in my cheek. He was so upset about it. But it didn't even hurt when it woke up. Which was as I was walking out of his office. I don't stay numb very long at all.
Lexi went with Patricia last week while she got her teeth cleaned and Lexi sat in the floor and was being loved on by the dentists two labradoodles. They are so sweet. While dr. Weakly was doing my crown they would come in and get next to my hand for some loving. They really enjoyed being loved on my Lexi. Sorry you lost Cindy. It's very hard when you have had them that long. Last month when we had all that cold weather a three legged cat that lived next door came in with her cat and hastn't left yet. Her owners have 10 large dogs that go in the house but they always left the cat out. The only way that cats is leaving is if they were to pick it up and put to out. So far I've made pumkin, turkey, deer, and a leprakome candy holder for them and am working on Chicks for Easter. The teachers like them as much as the kids do. I am almost done putting the hair on the rag doll that I'm doing for Lexi. I'm also trying to get my new 3d printer set up. I'm going to print me a circular sock machine. But they were to expensive for me but now several people have uploaded files to make your own. It will take a while to print it though. They pollen is very bad here. Everything is coated in yellow. The temps are going up and down like a yo yo. I hope you do well at the craft fair. Make sure you use all cotton fabric and thread on your rice warmers. Poyester thread can melt in the microwave. Well everyone is getting ready to eat so I'm off. Love you Kyra |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Hi Kyra, Hope you’re all healed up and black eyes are long gone By now. Happy to hear that you are seeing so much better now. I finally got to the optometrist and got a prescription for new lenses. We’re going to get a good sized refund from our taxes so I will be getting new glasses soon. The cataracts aren’t worrisome but eventually I will have to address them. Good eye doctor this time. Going tomorrow for my annual eye dilation for the retinal pictures. Had to put one of my calico cats, Cindy, to sleep on February 22, she was peeing other places than the litter boxes and I tried everything to try and break the habit. She was 17. Her sister Jan is still with us but I think she’s missing Cindy even though they weren’t a close pair of cats. She lived with Cindy for all her life so is alone most of the time while I’m at work and Damon is in and out of ,the house during the day. Bet the candy holders were cute along with the cards ??. We have had more rain after that storm that flooded our buildings but nothing like that storm. Most everything has been repaired/replaced. It was very destructive for sure. I’m getting ready for another craft fair on April 20th. Making more jewelry this time and rice bags(heat in the microwave, wrap in a towel and put on are muscles, etc.) Will be interesting to see how much I will be able to make and sell this time. Damon planted a Roma tomato plant and a bell pepper plant yesterday. The pepper plant is loaded with buds. Ours is a green to red pepper. Time for a quick nap then laundry. Hope you have a great rest of your week and the weather is good. love, Colleen |
