Tom,
Just a quick thought on the 'painful elimination' of fossil fuels... First; ain't gonna happen if we are to continue trucking, freight training,* ocean shipping and airlineing. However, electric autos will reduce demand; which is my second... Second; demand will be reduced to the extent that tens of 000's of wells will be capped. Now, just what will be the result of that... scarcity; and, scarcity drives up demand and demand drives up costs. So, we can look forward to (for example) $xx a gallon gas for remaining combustions, and ENORMOUS fuel costs for the intermodals mentioned above. Wanna fly to the coast? Take out a 2nd mortgage. * electrifying the country's entire rail system is a non-starter. Why do you think the catenaries end at Harrisburg? Electric power insufficient for mountain climbing. Bob |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Here's support you're asking about --- one example of a major issue. There's evidence all over the place of Biden being against fracking. Words from his own mouth. Sometimes Joe's saying eliminate fracking, sometimes implying partial elimination, sometimes implying some phasing out to get rid of fracking, even saying phasing out all oil drilling, not just fracking. And that's what Joe's telling his (environmental) supporters like AOC. Over & over again. When Kamala flat out says Joe won't end fracking, she knows he's been all over the place on that issue. This example you might call it Kamala obfuscating, trying to give the audience a wrong impression, hiding what Joe has been saying in so many venues. Amounts in the final analysis, bottom line to conveying a false idea or just plain lying. Here's Biden's own words, a 1 min video, with numerous examples. |
