For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I've moved probably three times more often than you have, and I can lay my hands on my birth certificate in about two minutes, most of that time spent walking from one spot in my house to another spot in my house. Using poor organization of one's personal papers as essentially an EXCUSE for claiming that one should not have to show proof of citizenship to vote must be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard on this topic. And by the way, I'm not in my 80s, but will be 70 this year, so yes, I've had lots of time to "misplace" my birth certificate. But I haven't. |
