Many already served 4 yrs in prison. And were subjected to horrendous abuses by their jailers, as previously cited here.
In comparison to many other kinds of criminals, those folks served long enough. They served their time. Turned out to be harder time than warranted, due to those abuses. And don't forget there were also many abuses tainting their trials. Unfairly denying access to video information was one big example -- could even be grounds for dismissals. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It was a terrible thing to behold...the entire family. And then Trump, as he is wont to do, undercut the impact. He pardoned or commuted the sentences of everyone involved in Jan 6 including those who assaulted and injured police officers. A very bad move on his part. Not only wrong to issue such a sweeping edict but to time it so that it undercuts Biden's sacrilege. |
