I have a Maytag washer,and bought a GE dryer, after Two years the washer needed repairs,the company that repaired the washer told me Maytag has a great name terrible machine. Long story short the Maytag after Six years is still working, the GE dryer motor was shot after three. So not knocking GE, I believe it's pure luck that machines last five or six years anymore.
