This one is spot on
Not in the mid-Atlantic area. The last time there was enough ice to skate on the creek at my place was 1990. As a youngster, I skated every winter on Seneca Creek off the upper Chesapeake. The Baltimore papers carried articles every year about icebreakers in the upper Chesapeake. Those ships have been in mothballs for a decade or more. Ice fishing is a forgotten sport. Ignoring what is happening before our eyes because of the left/right political battles over whether humans can control it or not makes no sense to me. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: This one is spot on. And funny. The only thing that would make it funnier would be if the person depicted in the block of ice was Greta Thunberg. Folks can recall the false prediction by climate scientists, that snowfalls would become rare. Also wrongly saying that children would not know what snow is. But a few years later, they changed their banner, from "global warming," to "climate change" Larger image available! Click image to see it. |
