I know--you've mentioned several times the mid-Atlantic area. I'm just afraid that counting on the mid-Atlantic area as the single harbinger of things to come is perhaps not as reliable of world climate as you apparently believe it to be.
Regardless, the climate does change. It changes over time, and it changes in both "directions." |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: This one is spot on Not in the mid-Atlantic area. The last time there was enough ice to skate on the creek at my place was 1990. As a youngster, I skated every winter on Seneca Creek off the upper Chesapeake. The Baltimore papers carried articles every year about icebreakers in the upper Chesapeake. Those ships have been in mothballs for a decade or more. Ice fishing is a forgotten sport. Ignoring what is happening before our eyes because of the left/right political battles over whether humans can control it or not makes no sense to me. |
