Section 7: Image Gallery Subject: Change to Add Image? Msg# 851555

So I'm typing a message and want to add a photo from the Image Gallery. I click on the icon in the message editor window, click on Add Image, and I get not just the image, but the title, the description, and the name of the uploader in my message. Is that intentional? I don't want all that. I just want to use the photo to show an example of something I'm talking about in the message.
I can copy the properties and put just the image in a message using the insert/edit image button, which I am now used to, but most users say it is a pain to post images that way and we have had fewer overall images posted in messages since you took away copy/paste. Pretty much unless they upload an image to gallery and put it right into a message, they don't use images. This is probably good because it keeps people from hot-linking images which may not be permalinks, but OTOH some of the photo-oriented people are uploading some real crap to the iimage gallery, like political cartoons--in the name of "gun humor." |
