Did you take a long time composing the message or did you leave the computer sit for some period of time?
Yes, the computer sat for a long break, and I might even have left the message half-composed. Normally I'm signed in all the time on both domains but I understand that the cookies may have been erased. I recall having an issue with another web site over a shopping cart problem at some point yesterday and one of the fixes I tried was clearing the cache, deleting cookies, etc. I think that was after this stuff happened but maybe not. I'll pay attention to the details and let yo know if it occurs again. It's not troublesome, just odd. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Did you take a long time composing the message or did you leave the computer sit for some period of time? Hard for me to know what happened. Since you were asked to login with your email and password it means the cookie was no loner on your machine. This is more or less confirmed becasue you had no cookie, and thus had to login, on this forum. Cookies are kept on a per-domain name basis, and firearms this forum are on different domain names. The only way forum code rmoves a cookie for any given domain is if one clicks the log out link. All I can suggest is to let me know if it happens again and note as much detail as to what you were doing. |
