Did you take a long time composing the message or did you leave the computer sit for some period of time?
Hard for me to know what happened. Since you were asked to login with your email and password it means the cookie was no loner on your machine. This is more or less confirmed becasue you had no cookie, and thus had to login, on this forum. Cookies are kept on a per-domain name basis, and firearms this forum are on different domain names. The only way forum code rmoves a cookie for any given domain is if one clicks the log out link. All I can suggest is to let me know if it happens again and note as much detail as to what you were doing. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I was halfway through reading all new messages (one at a time) on the Firearms Forum and submitted a reply to a message. Upon accepting the message the forum showed me a log-in page. I logged in and was taken to the Forum Home Page. As this was odd, I came over here to tell you about it. When I got to the Support Home Page I was not signed in and had to sign in again. One other small thing I've noticed lately is that after submitting a reply to say message number xx4, instead of returning to the page with message xx4, I'll be returned to the message with page xx3 on it. It always seems to be one message prior to the one I just replied to. This has happened 5-6 times in the last 2-3 days. And sometimes a new reply will appear to a reply I've posted during a session while I'm still reading in that same session. Neither of those things are exactly normal... |
