Well, if two people have the same first and last name then their first name and last initial will also be the same????
Anyway, I suppose I could have both worlds and not require unique first and last names as is now the case, rather allow same first last combinations but also require a nickname or screenname that must be unique. If only the nickname is displayed in messages then what is the purpose of asking for first and last name? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: "Like CompuServe used to be"? It still is... and we just ask users to use their first name and last initial if there's going to be any confusion. It's called a "nickname" and is what is displayed in messages. |
