As the code is now it makes no difference if the button is used or not for links in messages to external sites. The link will always show text of Click Here. It will remain that way unless I can figure hot how to distinguish between a proper link and a full URL link. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: In FF 85% or more of the people use proper text and the link button to post links. Maybe closer to 95%. I monitor it, and even other members suggest doing it the proper way to those who don't do it. When I run across bare links I often change them and if they are run-on I fix them. Remember, I read every message every day and have been doing so for a long time. Nothing gets by for long. This is going to be a big relearning experience for everyone. How do they use it? Type "click here" first and then use the button? FWIW, I read everything and don't remember seeing any announcement about this. |
