In FF 85% or more of the people use proper text and the link button to post links. Maybe closer to 95%. I monitor it, and even other members suggest doing it the proper way to those who don't do it. When I run across bare links I often change them and if they are run-on I fix them. Remember, I read every message every day and have been doing so for a long time. Nothing gets by for long. This is going to be a big relearning experience for everyone. How do they use it? Type "click here" first and then use the button? FWIW, I read everything and don't remember seeing any announcement about this. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: If one user out of one hundred uses the button to add a url with proper text it would be amazing, and we end up with links that are wider than the message box in some cases. Thus, as I posted earlier, I've changed the code to take any url to a domain different than the one the message is posted to so as to make the link text always be "Click Here." |
