Opposite corner of Ohio--Beavercreek, an outlying suburb of Dayton. Most of my family is still in Illinois save my brother and family in Indiana. My parents tried to retire in Texas but prior to their moms passing they moved back to Rockford be with them and then just couldn't leave the old home town. I grew up in downstate Illinois--Springfield, but no one in the family lives there now so when I visit it is to the north state. We're actually located further enough south that we get a little milder winters usually, even this year as cold as it's been I understand it's been worse your way. I know Rockford has been colder than here. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Remind me where in Ohio you are--I grew up in Madison in Lake County, east of Cleveland, and my husband is from Shaker Heights (although we've lived here for coming on fifteen years). My dad still lives in Ashtabula (although he's been a snowbird in Florida the last umpty winters). Tina |
