Okay, something I do in MEF--I put temporary small pix on my home page for a few days at a time.  It's a popular feature as many are user photos.  In the past I would go to the central images location in Admin and replace the current one with the next one I wanted to use and not have to even go into an editable area to change anything there.

But...we no longer have a central images location in admin and it doesn't look like we're going to.  Since we've changed to the new code I've been simply uploading new small pix as needed and then changing the photo manually in the editable area...

Well, I had a "d'uh" moment and realized today I could still replace an old image with a new one and not have pix I'll only use once taking up space on the server (no deletions possible anymore). 

But what I have to do is open an editable area, click on an images button, change to article images, click on the current image to open it, then replace it.  Then close all that as I'm not actually going to edit the editable area at all, just replace the image.

Not nearly as slick as having a central area where the manager can access all images (not just gallery images).
