Whether Obama wants to admit it, or not, the fracking industry helped push Obama's economy along. You might say that produced slow growth from what otherwise could have been none or trivial economic results. Also most comments about Obama's economy don't bother to exclude the market surge that Trump's election produced. That Trump bump amounted to about 12%. Obama's record looks a bit weaker, when analysts subtract out that surge. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Significantly. Almost 12% Here's a chart. And if you take that 12% away from Obama and add it onto Trump's numbers in your original analysis table, you've got a totally different landscape.
