Again we're seeing Dems on the wrong side of another 80/20 issue. Most folks understand that safeguards are needed to have legitimate elections, without the distortions of illegals casting votes.
Currently, there's no assurance that Dems in the Senate won't kill the SAVE act with a filibuster. Incredible that they're hiding behind all sorts of excuses to allow cheating, overlooking the credibility of elections. And posting those excuses here. When ID papers are too easy to get, that paves the way towards more cheating. For example, there's been a variety of reports about thousands of illegals getting voter registration thru automatic drivers license programs coupled with those voting registrations. And that's been exposed, but has not been cleaned up. Foot dragging and excuses have too often prevailed. Add that to 110++ yr-olds illegally on voter rolls, -- Voters who relocated to new addresses, still voting in former districts --- Voters having addresses in warehouses, post offices, vacant lots, & other non-residences. Keeping the vote counting going for days beyond the election cut offs -- All in all, these are rich sources to allow cheating. A smelly kettle of old fish still lingering. The SAVE Act is but one remedy badly needed to start the cleansing. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I took a good 5 minutes of the time I have left on this earth to read and reread the Democrat essay you referred to. It does virtually nothing to say why this proposed law would disenfranchise voters. No arguments on assumed difficulties is obtaining birth certificates, passports or other proofs of citizenship. It merely talks about the bill's danger of rolling back generally approved measures taken to ensure the rights of minorities. Does it? Prove it. It's a muddy argument that seeks to come to a preconceived concrete conclusion. |
