It's not just Catholic schools, it's private schools everywhere.  Keep government out of education and you can almost guarantee success.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Just my opinion but I'm convinced the American educational system is broken.  How is it that catholic schools turn out graduates ready for college if they chose to attend while our public schools in many instances graduate functional illiterates?  Maybe we have the wrong people running our schools?
