Just my opinion but I'm convinced the American educational system is broken.  How is it that catholic schools turn out graduates ready for college if they chose to attend while our public schools in many instances graduate functional illiterates?  Maybe we have the wrong people running our schools?

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Yep--a department we need to drop.  I'd say leave it to teachers but teachers are being abused by their union.
