Coal fired plants are fine as long as scrubbers are built in. We have the technology, China has the technology, we use it, they don't, that's the major difference!
FYI, the Powder River basin has enough coal to supply ALL of our energy needs for FIVE HUNDRED YEARS, that includes electric, diesel, gas, natural gas / propane and petrochemical feedstocks. The technology to convert coal to these products has been around for a hundred years, it's what Germany used in WW II for most of their energy needs. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Nice work study Jim, But all we can do in our life time like anyone else's is watch the trends. Humans in their life ( IMO ) do not affect the weather. China and India will pollute enough for the entire world I promise you. They are selling us solar junk and wind mills and they are building Coal Fired Electric plants. Do you not see a problem with that? Where is all of our electric going to come from? Do you know that commercial trucks have a MANDATE to use a DEF system in order to operate. Basically the theory is to burn the exhaust. It is a JOKE! It costs companies millions of dollars every year FOR NOTHING! No Government vehicles have to use it, no Military just PRIVATE. It is a shake down once again in the name of Climate. Al Gore and his jet riding friend ( John Kerry ) have made so much money selling climate lies. Just take a look at ole Al he been eating well! AOC and her Green crowd need to be run out of Washington! All they do is lie to make $ on the Climate. Our facilities cuts 80 -100 loads of timber a DAY and have more growing now than ever in our 85 year history. Solar panel people cut 2000 acres of Carbon Killing trees to put up China JUNK in our Great nation for UNRELIABLE power that HURTS the grid more than it helps. Ask any Electric Company person. Do they work? SURE but at what cost? Who Pays? How much land do we destroy! I will apologize now for not listing my research at the bottom because I do not have time I have Tress to kill! Sorry I don't believe your research! |
