The folks who study global warming issues have been quite aware how controversial the issue of global polar ice has become, And there’s been awareness of some “OOOPS” examples in that field regarding sea ice & sea levels.

The most famous are their series of OOOPS by ship expeditions that got stuck in the ice, Crews had to be rescued from ships frozen solid, unable to move. Obviously their estimates of sea ice conditions by the so-called climate experts were wrong,-- ice was severely underestimated.

Ooops #1 Australian scientists were stranded by ice on an Antarctic expedition.

Ooops #2 Crews aboard Russian ships were stranded in their ships in the Arctic ocean.

Again predictions of an ice-free Arctic Ocean opening a summer northwest trade route were failures.

Ruslan Nazarov, chief of Chukotka’s emergencies service, said: ‘The ice around Cape Shelagsky is at 10 points. The ice fields are more than one meter thick.  A spokesman has announced the icebreakers will delay a return until probably May or early June. ‘The vessels will remain for the winter because of the very heavy severe ice conditions,’  Click Here 

Ooops #3 Key global sea level expert, Dr. Nils-Axel Mörner, was employed as a reviewer of the U.N.’s sea level study, and found manipulations in the scientific data he brought to light. Professor Morner identified a series of flaws in the U.N. global report of rising sea levels, in his 2007 study titled “Sea Level Manipulation, The Greatest Lie ever Told"  Click Here    

Ooops #4 Other more recent studies have also shown that sea levels advance are steady, and they are minimal

I'm sure that the establishment Global Warming/ Climate crowd will hold differing views.  Yet there's plenty of evidence contradicting their conclusions.
