New details emerge about California mismanagement of their fire hazard.
Headline: Fire budget was cut by Newsom by $100 million before Los Angeles wildfires Click Here WOW $100 million budget cuts. INCREDIBLE....UNBELIEVABLE quote: "The budget, which was signed in June of 2024, months before the wildfires in the Los Angeles area that began earlier this week, cut $101 million from seven "wildfire and forest resilience" programs" |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Quote from Trump's warning in 2019: "The Governor of California, @GavinNewsom, has done a terrible job of forest management. I told him from the first day we met that he must ‘clean’ his forest floors regardless of what his bosses, the environmentalists, DEMAND of him. Must also do [controlled] burns and cut fire stoppers” Click Here Now the California folks are facing a number of atrocious death's and destruction. Here's some of the problems: < Officials have cut back on their fire dept staffing. And deeply cut their budgets. < "excess" fire equipment has been sent to the Ukraine < Programs for diversity of personnel like DEI have cut their training levels. < TV & radio warnings have been missing, or scarce to advise residents to evacuate, and where are safe areas to go. < Programs for clearing debris and fallen trees from forests have been missing. < Controlled burns in forest areas have been cancelled. Also programs for creating fire breaks are missing. < Water supplies have been insufficient. < Fire plugs have run dry when needed. How frustrating for the firemen to have to turn their backs from lack of water. < About four dams previously supplying water have been removed in recent years, contributing to water scarcity. Instead, giving priority to smelt fish, over human lives and mass property destruction. < Fire insurance companies have cancelled vast numbers of policies, and no fill in programs have been provided. The fire officials who gave TV statements are saying they are doing as best as they can, and are calling on nearby states to help. Folks who saw Fox news this evening have heard all this and more. No wonder so many folks are fleeing that state. |
