For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I agree with your thinking on this--no surprise there, eh. I was just thinking about the Polish issue--obviously they are in a much more dangerous position than the U.S.--we are unlikely to feel a clear and present danger of imminent invasion--but can you imagine our government approving the arming and training of school children to use firearms to protect themselves and others against such a threat? Some people (we know who) would be apoplectic. These same people are raining hold heck about the training and arming teachers to defend against school shootings. Hoplophobia* is a disease.
