Section 5: States Subject: Blue states plan anti-Trump fights Msg# 1215057

Be careful what you wish for regarding stuffing the Supreme Court with more justices. Dems would likely try to slip in further bitter pills. Like political tests, like racial tests, like LGBT, all sorts of trickery. Better off being in the "hands off"group, -- strict constructionists, original constructionists.
I suspect on issues requiring congressional passage, that Trump may will try to get some Dems on board with him. Stuff like the no tax on tips, nor on Social Security benefits. Recall that some Dems were adopting some Trump issues, to help their re-elections. There's hope to start building some bipartisanship. Despite blue governors. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Thinking about all those states "thwarting" Trump... Good luck, blueies. I'd like to see Trump reduce federal subsidies to those states equal in amount to each state's financial thwartations... This does bring up an issue concerning our new post-election "live happily together" attitude. We have all seen the landslide consequence of Biden's idiotic cancellation of all Trump's border safeguards, canceling all of them for no other reason than because they were put in place by President Trump - without even considering whether they were working or not. To prevent President Trump's administration from looking that stupid, I think he will have to look a bit more carefully at the Dem's policies that are in place or on their immediate agenda instead of just cancelling them because they are only probably straight party line stupid. I suggest we start with careful consideration of the Dems' burning desire to add six justices to the Supreme Court... That might be one we should help them with... |
