The sea level trends are predicted as century-long changes with one side saying 3.9 inches to 6 inches per century and the other (warmist) side saying 7 inches to 8 inches per century.
There's more details in the earlier message Msg# 1198407 Here's one paragraph showing flaws in the excessive statements by warming advocates. "The perceived threat of rising sea levels was raised by early global warming advocates in the 1980’s some 4 decades ago. And there’s been notable failures in their predictions. Those leaders of the warming movement, James Hansen, Al Gore and others have frequently been wrong. The Arctic ocean has not become ice free. Greenland ice is still dominantly frozen, not melting. Antarctic ice has been stable. NY’s river-side freeway has not been flooded. Miami isn’t under 20 ft of floodwaters. Neither the Maldives nor other islands mentioned to be in danger of disappearing by warming activists are being inundated." I'd suggest that future generations will be at least as clever in solving sea level issues as the Dutch have been. Dutch are experts in coping with high sea levels. But who's listening ???? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: So I'd point out those were NATURAL climate changes. BUT the argument these days is the idea of man-made climate change vs those who point out natural climate change. And the media has joined the argument on the side of man-made. I have no interest in the political debate over warming. You handle that. I am simply reporting what I see. Man-made or not, the result could be disastrous. |
