For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Doug & Dave There's been so many critics about the climate "Net Zero" program which was declared an impossible UN program, in numerous reports. Some nations globally have been supporting it. Yet rather few US sources seem to be endorsing this highly questioned program. And perhaps that program's name Net Zero was also causing some confusion. It intended to rely 100% on renewables and require only electric vehicles, etc In Dec 2021 Biden's executive order required the US government will be a net zero contributor by 2050, by cutting the CO2 emissions from govt operations and purchases, also transitioning to an all-electric fleet of cars and trucks. A few weeks after that announcement, the title Net Zero faded from most public attention, as the inflation issue became dominant. Yet the UN has continued pushing. And in the climate news area, criticisms have been mounting. Reporting from the UN's 2021 international COP26 -- Big polluting nations like China & Russia are both putting off “net zero” until 2060 -- PLUS -- The leader of India delayed his country’s net-zero goal until an unimaginable 2070. International transport Ships and and aircraft have been omitted, by many countries, as there are (almost) no non-petro viable propulsion alternatives. More draw-backs are the large amounts of cement and steel needed to build the greenie (so called) necessary power projects. Those greenie projects start off as CO2 burdens from steel and cement expended during construction. And their land and sea extensive areas requirements are huge, as well as their massive waste disposal needs. Then there’s backup power requirements for when the wind and solar are are absent. At times needing up to 100%, duplicated fossil plants for preventing blackouts. The greenie requirement for all cars & trucks to be electric would mean that power requirements could be doubling the power demands, at the same time as curtailing fossil plants. That's a plan for producing shortages of power as well as halting transportation -- power blackouts cannot be tolerated. especially coupled with immobility. Havoc, chaos, unimaginable conditions. Here's several critical reports. Pipe dream & nightmare have been among the descriptions mentioned, as well as impossible. |
