Section 16: EV Issues Subject: EV suppliers in financial trouble Msg# 1191099

I don't know about everyone else, but I have a real problem with a government mandate saying that we may no longer make gasoline powered cars after a certain date, and that EV will be mandatory. If that isn't a Marxist move I don't know what is. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Would it surprise anyone that the EV's are very costly to insure.? Several factors include: < EV Dealers must make the repairs to meet their specialized requirements, with higher costs. < Very heavy EV weights from the heavy batteries make driver control more sensitive. < Heavy EV weights produce greater damage in collisions < High vehicle costs mean very expensive insurance replacements if vehicle is totaled. < High costs of parts needing replacement, < Expensive batteries --$5 K to $15K can suffer damage from fender bender accidents < Batteries can spontaneously catch fire. They're very hard to extinguish. And usually the EV is totaled. |
