The Eastman issue is not really current news. Both the right and left media have debated 3 months ago those issues. And naturally the Dems were then trying to overcome the facts that came out of how they themselves stood up in Congress in an effort to challenge acceptance of the electoral college being recognized. A Md. congressman Jamie Raskin was one who stood up and gave his pleas, urging the Congress to deny some "electors" votes from being accepted. A quote: “So, it’s ok for Dem Jamie Raskin to try to ‘overturn’ Trump electors but it’s incitement to violence when Trump urged Congress to ‘overturn’ Biden electors? Isn’t that called hypocrisy?” Rand Paul tweeted. Of course Eastman, Ginni Thomas & others are all folks that the Jan6 committee are trying to impugne -- Including efforts by Dem Congressman Jamie Raskin on that panel targeting Repubs. Two tiered justice, and hypocrisy are among the GOP rebuttals. But both sides of that issue had their say about 3 months ago -- the story has become inactive -- and both sides have moved on. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Here's the rest of the story behind that John Eastman photo Recall how a bunch of Dems tried to stop Congress from certifying Trump's 2016 victory. Same kind of language from your message Jim-- "stop Congress from certifying Joe Biden’s victory" -- but just a different candidate. What you refer to was a short-lived challenge started by three representatives. The challenge got no support in the senate, at all. Vice President Biden, who presided over the meeting said "It is over." The above challenge is miniscule compared to Trump's trying to force Vice President Pence to illegally refuse to count the electoral ballots. Not to mention the Trump followers Oath Keepers, Proud Boys, Qanon, and others violently storming the Capitol chanting "Hang Mike Pence." This is not in any way the same kind of challenge! And it was shut down quickly whthout any violence. Giuliani called for war. Trump told his followers "You've got to fight like hell or you're not going to have a country, anymore." Trump did not, and has still not, said it is over. How is what you wrote in any way behind the John Eastman photo? |
