For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I used the term "greenies" because I couldn't think of another description at that time that conveyed my meaning. I've since looked it up and found that, first, many of the "green" inclination use the term to describe themselves. I thought, "so much for being offensive." But the right also tends to use it to mean "environmental extremist," sometimes pejoratively. But it doesn't have to be taken that way, since it is short and to the point. Should we start using that term instead? |
