I'm still looking at this. The situation as it is now has been in place for a long time.
There flags for WizopForum, Sysop, Host, Editor and VIP. Frankly, all a bit too complicated. Editor is useless and I should delete the flag. For reading and replying to messages WizopForum and Sysop are the same. So, Sysop, Host and VIP are the three flags to maintain perhaps. Anyway, I'm not going to change anything at the moment. This will take a close review of all flags, not just for message area but for what rights each flag has throughout a forum. It's on my to-do list. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Tried to add Darryl Rogers and Allan Tarvid to VIP. As staff, I thought they automatically could access it but apparently not. Darryl tells me he can read messages but not post. (?) I tried to change their flags to add VIP but each time I do so it reverts from true to false. Do I not have that ability anymore? Help? |
