While you have mainly taken huge strides forward over the decade and a half you've been coding this software, you've made the occasional backward step, usually quite minor, often tiny...but your everyday power users get so used to things working one way that it is annoying out of proportion to its significance when you change it for reasons that make no apparent sense to us. This is especially true with things that have remained unchanged for years upon years, then suddenly are completely different.
