I would rather have some of the name/description process done by the users than none of it!

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I suppose I could have the description items pop up one at a time. I know what you mean about filling in all the blanks; did that once myself. I'll see if I can perhaps have only one submit button on the page. Then all would have to be completed for a single submit. The process looks different because it is different. uploaded recently by a Firearms member who apparently never completely the process. I knew what the photos were so I just filled in the data for him and submitted them as well. Normal? Yes. It is a nag-screen for managers. I cannot force users to input proper names and descriptions when doing multiple uploads, only when using the single. In the end, however, it is the images that are important and they are in the gallery whether the user or manager inputs a description or not. I am aware of the issues you mention an have not done with the process as yet. Your input and that of others will help shape the final process. I could dump the entire name/description thing and users would never see it. |
