Section 6: Message Board Subject: Name not on drop-down? Msg# 763243

This is by design. Only users who have posted at least one message appear in the dropdown list. Reason? Too much bandwidth and page loading time to list many users who have never psoted a message and probably never will. The The total page load for the member list can be more than everything else on the page combined. How can a manager post a message to ANY member? Go To Admin and use the new List Users link. With each user is a link to "PostMsg." |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Something odd going on. I got new join that posted a photo on my MEF photo album but no messages from him/her. I went to post a message on the board to see if I could get up some conversation and the name wasn't on the drop down. He/she definitely joined as I have an outgoing welcome message. Any idea why I am not seeing the name in the message drop-down? It's "Bobby Jones." |
