I didn't realize you still had the stars, since I didn't see any here. But then this is a new forum, so no one would have any stars. Duh. I didn't think to check in Books or someplace else. I suggest you keep the stars at their present levels. Ten posts isn't very many. I do see one nit -- I can't see what section I'm in when replying to a message. That would be useful. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Great minds think alike. I had made the change you suggest just before coming here and seeing your post. I'm still considering options on how to handle uploads, and you make a good point about maintenance. Perhaps a vetting option is the way to go, and I think I'm heading down that path. Thanks for the input. Now, the date joined is useful, and takes up no unnecessary page real estate. As for number of posts, those are shown with the silver and gold stars. The first star, silver, is added at 100 posts. I could change that to 10. Currently the stars are set like so: When you see one or more silver s next to a member name in a message header it indicates these are regular contributors to the forum discussions. 1 star for over 100 (10???) posts; 2 stars for over 200 (100 ???) posts; 3 stars for over 500 posts. Gold Stars - ; 1 for over 1000 posts; 2 for over 2000 posts; 3 for over 5000 posts, 4 for 10,000 posts, and 5 for 15,000 posts. Many people have more than one gold star in busy forums. |
