Hi Kyra,
Sounds like yo, Patricia and Rebecca had a nice Thanksgiving. Can’t go wrong with a nice roasted chicken. We had a nice one to. We didn’t have any leftovers or clean up to do since we went to Damon’s cousin’s house along with about 25 friends and additional family. Was a nice visit with everyone. How’s Lexi doing now? Can’t believe they didn’t at least keep her overnight after surgery. Just hope the infections cleared up and she feeling good now. We have had cool nights and looks like it’s going to get a little cooler and maybe some rain on Saturday. Just hoping it doesn’t as I really would like to have a good crowd at the craft show on Saturday since the one in November was pretty much a bust. This will be the last one I will do for awhile so I hope it goes well. Since Damon’s foot surgery is coming up in February I won’t be able to do anything till in the fall of 2025. I might be able to make some of the non sewn quilted ornaments since we won’t be doing anything for at least two months because he won’t be able to put any weight on the foot for one month and then limited time the second and maybe by the fourth month will be able to drive and walk on it. Just hope his pain is reduced or completely gone by the tim it’s all said and done. Bet the girls enjoyed decorating your Christmas tree?? I finished ours ye while I was off sick yesterday with a chest cold. Slept a lot and felt better today and went to work today. We had our department Christmas party with good food and gift exchange afterwards. The guys are a hoot when it comes to the gift exchange. We do it where a gift ca be taken away from someone twice before it stays with the last person. Had some hot and heavy taking going on. The water bottles and such were hot items Good Ryan got to get home for Thanksgiving. I know he enjoyed it. Hope he gets to stay a little longer at Christmas. Love you my friend and hope you have a good Christmas in case I don’t a message off next week. It’s going to be a busy week-fudge and toffee making time. Damon’s making the chocolate chip cookies. Hugs, Colleen |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Colleen, Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. We had a nice roasted chicken. Patricia and Rebecca don't care for turkey. But the chicken was good. Wed. moring before Thanksgiving Katie called me at 3:30 a.m. wanting to know if she should take Lexi to the emergency room or not. Since her temp was only 101 I told her to give her Tylenol since she had been on a antibiotix already for 10 days. She was taking it for a sinus infection and strep. She called me an hour later to say Lexi's temp was 102 so we decided to take her to the Emergency room. So Katie took her the Nashville to Vanderbilts children hostpital. At 2:00 that afternoon the did surgery on her appendix to remove it. At 5:00 they sent her home. I could not believe they didn't even keep her overnite. We got our first snow sprinkles today. It's a slusshy snow. It was in the 60's yesterday. Lexi and Eva got my Christmas tree decorated Sunday. It's very cute. Ryan got to come home Thanksgiving morning but he had to leave this afternoon.
