Description: This is the 2nd class model Christmas Stocking. Here the main pattern of trees is essentially from a commercial pattern with some modifications. Both socks have "peasant heels" (knit in last after removing a row of waste yarn). The trimmings are knit, what I call a "pine cone" and a ball; they can be crocheted, but I worked out a way to knit them instead. Other trimmings include 3 & 4 stitch "I-cords", knit-in braid. Both socks are from a DP weight Patton yarn mainly used for afghans, acrylic with some wool. I was a bit skeptical, but it turns out to have enough wool content that it will block quite nicely.
