Exactly. The southern Democrats did not align with the Northern Democrats, at least as far as the KKK and racism were concerned. Do you think that Strom Thurmond and George Wallace held the same views as the Northern Democrats? You're not going to tell me that FDR was a racist who supported the KKK, are you?

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: You do realize that everything in Tom's text came before southern Democrats began seceding from the Democrat party.  Democrats still hold responsibility for the KKK, for white supremacist notions, for all of that.
