Section 25: Miscellaneous Subject: January 6th pardons Msg# 1219530

I’m (mostly) okay with that decision. Yes, there were some crimes committed but they were done by a very small number of individuals. In response, the gov initiated a “We hate Trump and all his supporters” witch hunt using more technology, manpower and other resources than we’ve used since the SEAL’s killed Bin Laden. And for what? Some broken windows? Having the audacity to sit in Nancy Pelosi’s chair? Then there is the Ashli Babbitt shooting. As someone who used to be a firearms instructor for a federal Bureau, I can tell you that shooting was at least highly questionable and did not get properly investigated by an impartial agency. There were several less lethal options that Capital policeman should have employed before resorting to lethal force. Then you have the destruction of records by Liz Cheney and her minions and the unusually harsh sentencing. I would have preferred pardons on a case by case basis but given the totality of events, I’m good with things as they are. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Pardons for almost all, the rest got commutation of their sentences, good or bad decision? |
