In 2021 that solar farm to power the entire US electric load would be as large as lake Michigan. or almost the size of West Virginia or triple the size of New Jersey Click Here
Yet current electric load is growing rapidly so the numbers would need updating to match the current news story quoted here earlier. And think of the amount of food produced on farms from that much land--ELIMINATED !! No more nourishment produced Atrocious results. UNJUSTIFIED |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe, stop and think for a minute, how big would the solar array need to be to provide MORE power than we produce here in the USA? I admit I don't know the answer but I'll bet money there is an engineer here on the Forum that could provide a darn good estimate? |
