Cost of fuels is predominantly based on supply & demand. And coal supply for more than a century has economically powered locomotives, steamboats and ships, (as well as power plants.)

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Coal is low cost. It is also one of the most wildly inefficient fuel sources currently in use. There’s a reason it is cheap. It sucks. |
