Not very effective when they do run.
Well, some must be running as wind now produces just over 10% of all electricity in the United States. Fossil fuels produce 60% of our electric needs. Nuclear around 18%. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) - U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Not very effective when they do run. The cost of these monstrosity 's and upkeep and disposal is crazy. I'm all for the next great thing, but it has to work and be affordable for everyone. The idea of EV's is pretty nutty also, not well thought out at all. The initial cost of vehicle, the maintenance is high, the extreme weight of the vehicle is enormous. The Bridges we have now will they carry all the extra weight, the tires they wear out in 20,000 miles to the landfill. The dependency on China for most all parts. Not my idea of a free country. |
